Apple & Google Update COVID-19 Contact Tracing Tech Ahead of Launch


The Apple & Alphabet's Google on Friday updated in there technical details of the COVID-19 contact tracing system and they make plan to release next month, its new features would strengthen privacy protections & give health authorities more detailed data. System announced on April 10 will be use Bluetooth technology to let authorities build the apps to alert people it have been in proximity with those they have tested positive for the COVID-19. These technology can not employ GPS location data and stores most sensitive data in a decentralised way on users' phones. These approach opened a rift with the European governments planning in the systems that would store data on centralised servers.Without the Apple-Google technology, apps built by those governments will face limitations such as a need a phone screen to be unlocked to work properly.

The Apple & Google will now provide data about Bluetooth power levels to better the estimate its close two phones came to each other & for how long, letting authorities set their own thresholds for when to alert the people.The company also said they would provide data on how many days has passed since the last contact with an infected to person it help authorities notify all users about the what steps to take.
